The Science of Belonging: Using Neuroscience and Technology to Rethink Identity, Community and Inclusion
Nov-2nd 12:30 pm
Nov-4th 3:30 pm
The increasing prevalence of conflict and identity-driven political polarization suggests that how we identify, and where we feel we belong, are foundational to our progress on the most significant social issues. Using the latest research in neuroscience and behavioral science, Bill Casebeer and Mike Niconchuk from the Beyond Conflict Innovation Lab will share the fascinating biological underpinnings of belonging. While providing an opportunity to experiment with the new VR and video game technologies they’re developing in the lab, Casebeer and Niconchuk will share practical tools of inclusion and belonging that can be used personally, professionally, and by the communities that need them most.
